From 29 July to 3 September 2017 the Museo dell'Arte della Lana, in via Sartori 2, in Stia (Ar), presents "Moods", a personal exhibition of paintings by Elia Fiumicelli curated by Silvia Rossi.
The exhibition, sponsored by the "Luigi and Simonetta Lombard" Foundation and the Municipality of Pratovecchio Stia, was inaugurated on Saturday 29 July and is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 to 13, Thursday and Sunday from 10 to 13 and from 4 to 7 pm, Saturday from 4 to 7 pm. Closed on Monday.
Throughout the month of August, the opening will be from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 19.
THE EXHIBITION:
With the end of July 2017, the already rich collection of the Museo dell'Arte della Lana has expanded further, welcoming the works of the young artist stiano Elia Fiumicelli.
A collection of works that revolve around the figure of the woman is integrated into the museum itinerary, reserving a surprise and an emotion to each corner, telling the states of the soul with its unmistakable and refined style. A heterogeneous choice that collects works on paper and canvas, where gesture and sign prevail and the delicate use of color plays with shapes. The visitor can closely observe the work of this talented artist, who always remains faithful to himself and shows a constant and rapid evolution.
From work to work you discover a totally personal world, made of small gestures and hidden signs, discreet and delicate like its author.
THE ARTIST:
Elia Fiumicelli was born in 1994 in Montevarchi (Ar) but lives in Stia, in Casentino, a valley full of historical and cultural traditions from which he takes inspiration to direct his studies.
He attended the "Design of the fabric" section at the "Piero della Francesca" Art Institute in Arezzo. Already in the school years he distinguished himself in his studies and some of his works were selected to enrich the walls of the San Donato Hospital and the Municipality of Arezzo.
In this period also begins its exhibition path, thanks to the support of its teachers who recognize in the young artist a talent to be valued.
After completing his studies he went, as an intern, to "La Mantero Seta" in Como. Here, supported by highly qualified personnel, he works in the "Women Division" section, where he begins to lay the foundations of his knowledge through a unique and important experience for his professional training. In Como he began to design his first fabrics, selected and presented by the company in Paris as part of the prestigious "Fiera Premièr Vision".
The journey with La Mantero continues with the insertion in the company factory, where it confronts artists and designers from Holland and Russia. In these years in which his studies obtain increasing recognition and collaboration, he embarked on a parallel and more personal artistic career, dedicating himself to painting, in which he developed a highly personal and recognizable style.
From 2016 he collaborates with the gallery ExpArt Studio & Gallery, with which he has organized his first personal exhibition, he has participated in group shows, he has participated in the AAF of Milan and the second edition of "The great beauty" at the Castle of Obernberg Am Inn in Austria.
